Be able to provide supportive and accurate psycho-education for clients.
Gain knowledge in interventions designed to support clients with Autism and ADHD.
A Note from the Trainer, Kay Green:
My hope in creating this training is to allow clinicians to better understand and meet the needs of neuro-diverse clients. There is a stunning lack of information on the ways that neuro-diversity impacts and affects the lives of people. This training focuses on anti-oppressive tools for clinicians to best support our neuro-diverse clients- specifically targeting the areas where therapist can start to feel stuck in the work.
In this training you can expect to learn more about common neuro-diverse experiences, how to offer accurate psycho-education, and learn specific interventions designed to support the needs of neuro-diverse clients. Learn about how to offer accommodations, challenge oppression, and celebrate our clients!
About Kay
I have spent much of my life working with a passion for helping and supportingmy community. I have always felt pulled towards helping fields that allow me to connect with others and provide support. After seeing the ways that being in community can help facilitate the healing process, I strive to create a dedicated space for finding support and growth in my own practice. I want to help create a Brave Space where folks feel they can bring the entirety of who they are into the room and know that we can talk about it. I don’t want or expect perfection, but rather a messy process where we bump up against each other and learn through that.
As a trans non-binary, queer, autistic person I feel a pull towards working with other folks of similar marginalized backgrounds. In particular I love being a trans therapist for trans folks! Additionally, I strive to create a therapeutic relationship where neuro-diverse people can feel that they can show up in whatever ways they need to. It is an honor to create a space where folks feel like they can unmask and share their special interests. I welcome people who are professionally diagnosed, self-diagnosed, and questioning if they are neuro-diverse.
