Founder
Pronouns: she/her
Erin has spent over 20 years providing care to a wonderful variety of folks in settings such as schools, home-based programs, community mental health and private practice. Her approach has always been client-centered, collaborative and she is privileged to have advanced training in EMDR and Art Therapy and feels passionate about creative approaches to traditional talk therapy.
Although Erin is no longer providing individual direct client care, she is very hands on with the client care her team gives by way of providing supervision, consultation and oversight. She is also cultivating a professional culture of equity and anti-oppression work for all marginalized groups, but in particular our BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ community members.

Clinical Director
Pronouns: she/her
My name is Marcia Smaha: please, call me Marcy. I have the privilege of being the Clinical Director here at ACC, and that role has me wearing many hats each day. You might find me facilitating the intake process, answering the phone or supporting folks in the lobby; or maybe I’ll be elbows deep in the computer handling administrative tasks; or, for my favorite part, maybe I’ll be in supervisor mode supporting my clinicians so they can provide the best client care possible. I see the potential in every human and I hope that my efforts show my belief in the goodness and capability of humankind, as I work to hold ACC, the services we provide, and the clinicians I support, to the highest standard of compassionate care for our clients and community.
As a supervisor, my supervision style also reflects that belief of inherently capable goodness. It is my mission in my supervision to walk with my supervisees and provide as safe a place as possible to uncover insecurities, ask the hard questions, grapple for answers, and test things out. I do not believe there is only one right answer, but rather answers that are right for you. It is my goal to help you explore, process, and harness your experience and I cherish the honor of sharing in your journey toward licensure.

Supervisor
Pronouns: she/her
Compassion and respect are at the heart of my approach to therapy and supervision. As a therapist I focus on reducing the impact of anxiety, intrusive negative thoughts, relationship challenges, postpartum challenges, body rejection, shame, and the impact of past trauma. I help individuals tap into their own passions and needs to move the focus away from unwanted symptoms and onto what you value most. I understand that there are many factors that contribute to the difficulties each person faces and many paths toward healing. I integrate practices from a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy. I draw from theories of humanism, attachment, and health at every size (HAES), body positivity and anti-diet culture. I find that these approaches emphasize autonomy and respect for people's innate wisdom about their own lives and bodies. I know that we are more than the problems that we face.
I appreciate the authentic connections I am privileged to have with my clients and supervisees.
