We value the whole person and want to create the best possible internship opportunity; therefore this position has been created to deliberately be part-time to avoid unnecessary burnout. This means that, while it is a paid internship, the income would be considered supplemental.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide all client services in a trauma informed and culturally responsive manner.

    • Establish and maintain a client caseload.

    • Demonstrate and apply appropriate individual and group counseling skills, demonstrating working alliances with individuals.

    • Submit all client documentation for review within 48 hours of time of service.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, supervisors, and colleagues.

    • Demonstrate openness to receiving and incorporating supervision feedback.

    • Demonstrate knowledge and application of your professional Code of Ethics (e.g., ACA Code of Ethics, AAMFT Code of Ethics, etc.).

    • Demonstrate effective communication in care coordination with the use of community resources and referrals and inter- and intra-agency collaboration.

    • Must work within the scope of practice and competencies identified by collaborative educational agreement, in accordance with the service plan and including transition planning.

    • Will document a minimum of two hours every year of suicide risk screening, suicide risk assessment, treatment, and management training.

    • Engage in weekly continuing education and training as provided by ACC.

    • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the field of professional counseling and therapy.

    • Demonstrate personal traits conducive to effective counseling and continued professional development.

    • Demonstrate engagement with anti-racist/anti-oppressive work for both professional and personal development.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must be currently enrolled (and remain enrolled) in a graduate program for a master’s degree in clinical mental health or marriage and family therapy, or a related field of behavioral science.

    • Must be able to establish a collaborative educational agreement between ACC and the MHI’s graduate program.

    • Will consent to a Criminal Records Background Check, with the results being maintained in their personnel file.

    Clinical Social Work Associate

    The Associate-Level Clinician will maintain a caseload of clients. This provider will ideally be a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who has a passion for mental health and a strong commitment to social justice through engagement with anti-racist and anti-oppressive work, as well as a strong interest in mentoring and teaching. The right candidate will aspire to the highest level of ethics, be diligent, be eager to engage in professional development, will be open and approachable, will have a sense of humor, and will enjoy supporting other clinicians. The position of Associate-Level Clinician will be compensated in consideration of their Registered Associate status.

    Primary Responsibilities and Required Competencies

    • Must demonstrate the following minimum competencies: suicide and other risk assessments and interventions, creating and monitoring safety plans, completion of bio-psycho-social assessments and additional assessments, updating assessments when clinical circumstances change, generating a differential DSM-5-TR diagnosis, prioritizing health, wellness and recovery needs, writing measurable service objectives, creating, monitoring and revising service plans, delivery of mental health and recovery treatment services in individual, group and family formats within their scope, gathering and recording data that measures progress toward the service objectives and documenting services, supports and other information supportive of the service plan.

    • Must render services and supports within their scope of practice.

    • Must document a minimum of two hours every year of suicide risk screening, suicide risk assessment, treatment and management training.

    • Demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to the field of professional counseling and therapy.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must qualify to apply for or already have obtained one of the following:

      • Professional Counselor Associate registered with the OBLPCT

      • Marriage and Family Therapy Associate registered with the OBLPCT

      • Clinical Social Work Associate registered with the OBLSW

    • Must consent to a Criminal Records Background Check, with the results being maintained in their personnel file.

    As a Supervisor, you will be hired to provide supervision or training in alignment with your speciality and licensure. You may also be invited to bring your specialty focus to the bi-annual quality assessment and performance improvement committee or the yearly trauma-informed care review committee, which directly informs the policy and procedures of ACC as well as service delivery and training opportunities provided for staff and providers.

    Primary Responsibilities and Required Competencies

    • Demonstrate competence in leadership and cultural responsiveness.

    • Demonstrate competence in oversight and evaluation of services and staff development.

    • Demonstrate competence in assessment, person-centered treatment planning, case management and coordination, and care coordination with utilization of community resources.

    • Be able to supervise group, family, and individual therapy and counseling.

    • Maintain and supervise to a high level of fidelity to ACC documentation standards, and be able to provide and teach rationale for services to promote intended outcomes.

    • Maintain fidelity to and implement all ACC policies and procedures.

    • Promote and maintain trauma-informed care.

    • Must document a minimum of two hours every year of suicide risk screening, suicide risk assessment, treatment and management training.

    Required Qualifications

    • Must hold one of the following licenses, which demonstrate fulfillment of QMHP equivalency and requisite two-year post-graduate clinical experience:

      • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), active and in good standing with the OBLPCT

      • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), active and in good standing with the OBLPCT

      • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), active and in good standing with the OBLSW

    • Must be a certified or approved supervisor and maintain the credential.

    • Must consent to a Criminal Records Background Check, with the results being maintained in their personnel file.

    • Must be able to provide in-person supervision for 10 of 12 months.
