NBCC-Approved Continuing Education Training
This training is designed to provide tools for clinicians to offer psycho-education to Neuro-diverse clients and better understand their needs in therapy. The goal of this is training is to allow therapists to feel more confident in the interventions they offer and to educate on the different ways neuro-diversity impacts mental health issues and concerns.
Participants will:
Gain increased knowledge of the needs of clients with Autism and ADHD.
Be able to provide supportive and accurate psycho-education for clients.
Gain knowledge in interventions designed to support clients with Autism and ADHD.
A Note from the Trainer, Kay Green:
My hope in creating this training is to allow clinicians to better understand and meet the needs of neuro-diverse clients. There is a stunning lack of information on the ways that neuro-diversity impacts and affects the lives of people. This training focuses on anti-oppressive tools for clinicians to best support our neuro-diverse clients- specifically targeting the areas where therapist can start to feel stuck in the work.
In this training you can expect to learn more about common neuro-diverse experiences, how to offer accurate psycho-education, and learn specific interventions designed to support the needs of neuro-diverse clients. Learn about how to offer accommodations, challenge oppression, and celebrate our clients!
